Bleach Alternatives

Chlorine bleach is not safe for you, your family and the environment. Using it to whiten our clothes or cleaning is dangerous for our health. It causes skin irritations, pulmonary problems like colds and allergic rhinitis. There are some safe alternatives we can use at home as bleach like lemons, hydrogen peroxide and more.

Removing stains from clothing
Pour lemon juice over the stained area. Then rubbed the area with salt and place the clothing out in the sun for a few hours then wash as usual.

Clothes whitener
Add a cup of lemon juice on your wash cycle to boost the whitening action of your laundry detergent.

After mixing your laundry detergent in your washing machine, add in 1/2 to 1 Cup of Hydrogen Peroxide. Soak for a couple of hours or half day for best result before washing. (water must be hot)

Removing stains on countertops, kitchen sink or bathtub
Make a paste of baking soda and lemon juice. Apply to the affected area and leave it to sit for a few hours and wipe it clean.
