Ironing Tips

Ironing can be a difficult task for some but if you know some techniques in ironing it will make your life a lot easier. As for me, I have had years of experience on ironing work clothes so it became so easy years after years. Here are some of the ironing tips for your reference.

When you dry your clothes make sure to take them out from the dryer while it's still hot.
Your clothes become too wrinkly when it's too dry therefore you should ease them out right after you dry them. Ease them out and place them on the hanging rack to completely dry if still moist.

Read the labels and sort your clothes before ironing.
Iron shirts and other clothes that requires low to medium heat  first to avoid burning sensitive clothes like silks. When your iron has been on high heat it'll be difficult for you to iron clothes that requires low heat and may lead to a disaster. Always remember to read the labes on each clothes and iron them according to the label instructions. Some clothes needs to be ironed inside out or iron with cloth on the top.

Moist the clothing before ironing.
It is impossible to iron a completely dry clothing so it is necessary to slightly spray it with water to a certain degree before it is ironed.

Do not wear your shirts or any clothing  right after ironing
No matter how slick you have ironed your clothes it will be wrinkled when worn right after you iron them. It needs to dry completely before wearing them to avoid wrinkly spots. Hang your shirt nicely and wait for at least 10 minutes to dry.

Closet Disaster after Ironing your clothes nicely.
You have ironed them nice and slick but then again hanging them inside the closet causes them to become wrinkly. It happens and it can be frustrating when you do not have the time to re-iron them. You can simply hang your shirt inside the bathroom just before you take a shower. The steam on the shower smoothe the wrinkly spots.

Bleach Alternatives

Chlorine bleach is not safe for you, your family and the environment. Using it to whiten our clothes or cleaning is dangerous for our health. It causes skin irritations, pulmonary problems like colds and allergic rhinitis. There are some safe alternatives we can use at home as bleach like lemons, hydrogen peroxide and more.

Removing stains from clothing
Pour lemon juice over the stained area. Then rubbed the area with salt and place the clothing out in the sun for a few hours then wash as usual.

Clothes whitener

or
After mixing your laundry detergent in your washing machine, add in 1/2 to 1 Cup of Hydrogen Peroxide. Soak for a couple of hours or half day for best result before washing. (water must be hot)

Removing stains on countertops, kitchen sink or bathtub
